Tenley Starr Fabian, owner and proprietor, has hand picked her experienced team to provide ‘second to none’ level aesthetic procedures and services to people enjoying their stay on the Westlake Village Inn grounds. She is accompanied by her medical director, world renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Jonathan Sykes. Tedious attention to detail, paired with a bespoke and white-glove experience makes her partnership with Spa Relais at Westlake Village Inn a match made in heaven.
Tenley began her career much earlier than most, in that she was raised by a family deeply embedded in the medical profession. Her father is a doctor, and a world renown surgeon, known for specialties in plastics, cleft lip and pallet repair, and hand injuries. She grew up around medicine and knew early on that she wanted to make it a career.
She attended the University of South Carolina for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, quickly made a name for herself by becoming one of the youngest Tier 1 Trauma Emergency Room nurses in Southern California - a spot that typically takes years to prove your mettle. After proving her value and then some, and also having had the opportunity to work alongside her father after all those years of training, she decided to venture off into the world she came to love as a child - Aesthetic Medicine.
Tenley has been injecting for more than 5 years and has quickly risen to the top of the pack, recognized for her incredible attention to detail, and her dedication to natural and responsible aesthetic medicine. She founded Starr | Medspa in early 2020 with the dream of owning and operating a world-class Medispa so she could treat, educate, and stimulate her hometown of Westlake Village, CA.
He was the director of Facial Plastic Surgery at the University of California, Davis Medical Center for more than 30 years and an editor of six textbooks and has written over 200 scientific articles, book chapters, and other papers in the medical literature. He is also a highly sought after lecturer, having given over 1,000 lectures locally, nationally, and internationally. Last year, Dr. Sykes gave over 150 lectures. He has reviewed scientific papers for the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery, the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Laryngoscope.
He has performed over 20,000 surgical procedures, and is an expert in rhinoplasty, aging-related surgeries such as facelift, browlift, and eyelid lift surgery. He has a special interest in Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS). He has instructed many people on the anatomy and injection technique for neuromodulators, such as Botox, and is an instructor for many filling agents such as Sculptra. He has been asked to perform live demonstration surgeries in over 15 countries.
He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for 10 years, having been Western Region Vice President, VP of Education, and most recently, elected President of the AAFPRS in 2010.
